Description of the experience:
Mrs. Krystyna, because of problems with health and disability to take care of her mother has decided to leave her mother in one of the institutional health care centres. She visits her mother every Day, offering assistance and helping health carers.
Objectives:
Celem oddania mamy pod opiekę CRO było odciążenie Pani Due to her own health problems, Mrs. Krystyna could not offer so much time to her mother, the purpose was to relieve her from the everyday responsibilites.
Means and Strategy:
The daughter visits her mother every Day offering assistance and helping health carers. Thanks to the cooperation between the patient’s family and workers, the patient has permanent medical care and is never alone.
Conclusions:
The author draws attention to Lack of the institutions offering Day care for people with Alzheimer’s disease. The health carers of such people do not have a complex psychological and institutional support. In her opinion also patient has too little rehabilitation.
