En pediatría si cabe es más importante el uso de la medicina narrativa puesto que los niños, en muchos casos, no cuentan con las habilidades necesarias para poder determinar exactamente cuáles son sus dolencias. No obstante cuentan con la capacidad de narrar historias o mostrar a los adultos a través de dibujos u otros médios de narración sus circunstancias, lo que les aflige o con qué están incómodos.
