Article published present the medical personnel who work in the home health care as fully trained and dedicated to patients. Nurses working in this area are part of a multidisciplinary team and have the ability to communicate both with people assisted, and with their tutors. In this system everything revolves around the word "communication". That's because without a relationship focused, primarily, on communication and trust, the work of nurses would have not the expected fruits. Nurses who were interviewed for this article pointed out that the first priority in nursing home districts are situated communication, and then trust. It says that "trust is earned," so the whole process relies heavily on the time factor. To gain the trust of a patient depends heavily on the patient.
This article describes the importance of nurses in home health care system, saying that he/she is a member of the family. The interviewed nurses have the same opinion, saying that when you enter in a house of a patient for a month, for years, you get to be part of his family. This happens especially with single people, who remained childless or without life partners, creating a strong link between them.
Although recognizing that the work in the hospital is much easier than the one from the home health care system, nurses in the White-Yellow Cross Foundation, say that they do not prefer to work in a hospital unit, considering that is the cause of losing that close contact with patients.
Within the home health care, nurses do their job respecting the doctor recommendation, based on which patients are receiving an appropriate treatment - dressings, injections, infusions or catheterization. Both themselves and their patients can benefit from the advantages of the first Pilot Coordination Center of Home Health Care Services from Bucharest.
