Medical home health care services can be provided only by providers who are in a contractual relationship with the Bucharest Health Insurance House (CASMB).
The recommendation to receive health care services at home is done by specialized doctor, including family doctors.
The duration for which an insured may receive health care services at home is determined by the doctor who made the recommendation, but not more than 90 days of health care.
Health care providers provide home health care services under a plan in accordance with recommendations made by the doctors, daily, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
The insured receive health care at home, respectively, palliative care at home under medical recommendation. To obtain the decision to receive medical care at home / palliative care at home, they have to submit an application to the health insurance company where the insured is recorded. The application and the recommendation are reviewed within a 3 working days of the date they were submitted and the application is approved in the amount provided for this purpose.
Priority criteria, as well as the ones for solving the priority lists, are taking into account the registration date of the application to the health insurance company, the type and stage of disease for which the recommendation was made and the level of patient dependency.
The obligations of the provider of home health care / palliative care services refer:
• to respect the confidentiality of all data and information regarding the patient;
• to provide services under a care plan in accordance with recommendations set and without any discrimination;
• they are not allowed to modify or discontinue the schedule of recommended treatment;
• to communicate the evolution of its health;
• to follow the presentation at the medical control of the insured.
