Newspaper Proclamation of the Association of social service providers in Slovakia for equal private providers of social services to the public so that for the same services both types of providers receive equal reimbursement. The analytical data reveal that there are great differences among reimbursement of expenses from the state and regional institutions to the providers of social services. In some regions it is more than 50% of difference in reimbursement the various types of organizations - providers for the same service with the same standards of technical equipment and for the same social services. Association of social service providers in Slovakia pointed out the differences what called out discussion on new ammendment of social law which finally issued in the year 2008 with the various time of validity of individual acts in the frame of 3 years.
Reviewer's comments on the document:
The Association calls for social service providers in SR. Therefore they launched a petition calling for equal rights of clients of social services and also called all members of Parliament to revise the law on social services.
Press release in which the Association of Social Services of the Slovak Republic shows and appeals to the unbalanced situation and systematic solution to a financial mechanism for social service providers. The current legislation by the President of the Association Milada Dobrotkova discriminates against private providers, making them essentially destroyed. Chaos caused mainly by the association system error, the date is not set on a normative position, fixed cost contribution by the public and even private providers of social services should be received for the care of one man. There is a big difference in financing of one issue. Another problem is that money is directed primarily to facilities established by the government. Higher local offices do not want to contribute to others, private providers, who perform the same service. The Association proposes to amend the law so that citizens are entitled to the same regardless of whether the service is provided by a public or non-public provider, and regardless of the county in which the service is provided to them. Citizens have the right to free choice of provider, without penalty, to get assistance by anybody.
