We can say that a doctor sees on average from 4 to 6 patients per hour. It means that a doctor, who works everyday for 8 hours, examines from 120 to 180 patients weekly. And this not all, because additional work in hospital or clinic means that he must take care of next several patients. This means hundreds cases of different diseases monthly, they can be more or less diverse or specific. Every of this case is connected with particular person and his/her exceptionality. Some of the patients are shy, they feel uncertain and lost in a new situation, they do not ask any extra questions, do not complain. Usually only few of patients are remembered by the doctor. On the other hand, there are patients who always have the list of questions, but they also insist on immediate reaction of a doctor. They are easier to remember. There are also some patients who are between these two mentioned poles. The aim of the article is to analyze the doctor’s attitude to every patient and to suggest the way of communication with them.

The article is focused on the empathy in relationship between a doctor and different kind of patients. The article is written from the point of view of doctor, who meets a lot of patients, mostly anonymous ones. In this case it is difficult to feel empathy and understanding. The author shows ways for raising the level of empathy. To sum up, the patient encouraged by the doctor who shows empathy, talks more and is also free from the negative emotions and cooperates with the doctor very well.
