Joanna Smolińska
Language: English
Country: Poland
Typology: health care professionals
I talked with the patient about his concern about the possible loss of vision. Nervousness, anxiety, distrust and hostile attitude to the environment after honest conversation changed and it aroused hopes to maintain or regain vision. While working in a hospital as a nurse, I realized how important is a conversation in medicine and that words are powerful. The patient often expects us to listen, comfort and support them.
