NAME TESTIMONIAL
Altagracia Alcántara Feliz
Professional Health Carer (Spain)

I am very satisfied of taking part to this European project. The narrative medicine is a technic which impacted in the best way on our personal and professional development. The possibility of sharing our experiences with other professionals from other European countries has been particularly valuable for me. I will continue using the Heppy Portal in my daily work. I am very grateful for the information received, for the activities shared and for the possibility of using it in the future.

M.M
Professional Health Carer (Spain)

From my point of view is quite useful to being involved in a European Project because at professional level is an advantage and a guide for my daily working practices. This important tool - Narrative medicine - has been innovative for me because it increases our empathy and competences to take care about patients. The usefulness of the Heppy portal is the opportunity to apply the knowledge and competences in my daily work and it's also interesting for my professional future.

Shirley Madel
Professional Health Carer (Spain)

It has been very useful for me to being part of this European project because of the possibility to share experiences and know more about how other countries work in this area. For me the knowledge acquired from Narrative Medicine has been helpful, especially the communication skills which are useful both in the relationship with the patients and with my colleagues and workmates. The Heppy portal from my side has been used to have information about other participants, to share experiences and to get information about some useful activities.

Leidy Ramarez Legarda
Professional Health Carer (Spain)

It has been very useful and interesting being part of this project and I think it is important to disseminate the activities and knowledge with other health careers in order to change the common idea of how to approach the healthcare daily work. From my point of view, it is important to raise awareness of other health workers, in order to give the best attention to the patients and their families. Furthermore, for me was important to refresh some aspects of the health carer practices: active listening and attention to the nonverbal language of the patient.

Fidia Elena Ruiz Coba
Professional Health Carer (Spain)

It has been very useful to know more and how to apply new technics and knowledge in my daily work practices. The methods acquired had a positive impact in my daily work and the relationship developed with patients and familiars. I can now get more information from other professional experiences and refresh the knowledge acquired by the personal training.

Iris N. Sierra
Professional Health Carer (Spain)

Being involved in this project It has been very useful for my daily work, especially to develop some skills as active listening and paying attention to the patients worries and self-esteem. I acquired new skills by using the Heppy portal and got opinion and further information about daily practices from other European professionals.

Elena Basten
Professional Health Carer (Spain)

It has been very useful and interesting being part of this project, because of the new methodologies studied and the activities applied in my daily work. The narrative medicine and parental pedagogy are strategies, activities and experiences very useful to increase the quality of my daily practices and to give better attention to the patients and their families. The main strength of the project, from my point of view, is to have direct relation with other European professionals. Everything I checked in the project portal has been applied in my daily work and I found everything interesting and innovative

Endelia Robles Gonzales
Professional Health Carer (Spain)

Being part of this European Project has been very important and useful for me as well as for my colleagues at my workplace. The impact of the narrative medicine has been very positive, because I could share my knowledge with my workmates and all together we discovered the efficient and practical strategy that it means. From my point of view, every sector was fantastic and useful, but, probably, the main one is the personal experiences area in which I could take some interesting information from other partner countries and realized the common strategies for all of us.

Felix Sanchez Espinosa
Professional Health Carer (Spain)

The most interesting thing of being part of a European project has been to share experiences and knowledge with other health careers and also to know more about the similar and different approaches in the several countries. It has been very positive; it gave to me also the possibility to increase my skills and competences at my work place. The project portal is very useful because it gives me the chance to know more about the European practices and also to share my experience and opinion with other professionals.

Daniela Vacarew
Patientas relative (Spain)

It has been very interesting and useful being part of this European project and to acquire new knowledge. The narrative medicine has been for me the answer for my usual practices, because everything regarding the concepts of narrative medicine and parental pedagogy could be applied in the health carers activities and relationships. To learn more from other case studies and strategies has been the most useful part of the project portal. Everything included in the project portal has been interesting and applicable from my point of view and experience. The case studies and the personal experiences are the main sectors for my personal interest.

R.C.
Professional Health Carer (Spain)

This European project has a very good approach and the contents developed were useful for the future applications and interesting for families and workers. The impact of the narrative medicine in my daily practices gave me the chance to know more about the experiences and self-esteem of my patients and their families. I got more information about strategies and personal experiences from other partners involved, from Spain and from the other partners countries. I will give the project portal website to my workmates in order to increase the participations and application of the strategies and tools described.

Susana Villar alvarez
Patientas relative (Spain)

Being part of this project has been useful at personal and professional level. The possibility of learning more about communication skills (and several competences) is absolutely innovative from my point of view. The narrative medicine is very important, as I understood by participating in this project. By using the project portal, I have the opportunity to download some important information and share it with other people.

Virginia Tataru
Professional Health Carer (Spain)

Being part of this project has been a pleasure and an important opportunity to know more about my profession and share experiences with other health careers. In my professional activity the narrative medicine is an innovative tool in order to take care about the worries of the patients. The Heppy project portal has been very useful for me, because I can develop my skills, following the contents and revising those aspects and abilities that I need to improve more. The most interesting things from my side were the examples, exercises, activities and theoretical contents that everyone can find in the project portal. Everything is very specific and explained.

Gemma Diaz Sanchez
Professional Health Carer (Spain)

I found very interesting to be involved in this European project and have the possibility to share, learn and describe different approaches regarding the health carer's activities. The narrative medicine will be very useful in my work environment, as will be the possibility to learn about how to be empathic, assertive and good care in my daily practices. My personal experience is that having the comments and knowledge from other European health carers is crucial in order to improve new strategies and have feedback from other professionals.

Vasilica Timeia Rata
Professional Health Carer (Romania)

I am very satisfied that I took part in this course, because no matter how prepared you are as professional, there are still a lot of things to learn and thus to understand the needs of the patient, physically and psychologically, as well as from the point of view of the treatment. I listened to the opinions of several persons, to the experiences of each of them. The course was presented in a very detailed and pleasant way.

Puscasu Constantin Daniel
Professional Health Carer (Romania)

The narrative medicine helped me a lot, more precisely it taught me the way of approaching and understanding the patients, a new vision on life. About the Heppy portal, I have a very good opinion. I have red very important things on it.

Bucur Lenke
Professional Health Carer (Romania)

This course was very interesting for me because I learnt many new things and it helped me to be better and more open with the people I work with. The main role belongs to the patient as he is the one that provides information about himself, which the health carers can use to improve the services they provide. As a specialist, I understood that the focus should be on the patient as a person, as he/she suffers. The Heppy portal was very useful, I will definitely continue using the portal, also after the end of the project.

Barsan Fanica
Professional Health Carer (Romania)

The involvement in this European project was extremely useful for me, in the sense that it made me approach the work with the patient from another perspective, by getting involved more from the point of view of emotions and the family context that could have generated the disease or why not the curing. I used the Heppy portal to go through the course material and to express my opinion on the studied materials and courses attended.

Hijkoop Erika
Professional Health Carer (Romania)

Thanks to this project, narrative medicine is an important component in our medical centre. Our whole team now applies narrative medicine techniques, not only nurses, but also cooks, therapist, social workers and director.

Andrei Maria
Professional Health Carer (Romania)

My involvement in this project was very useful; I have acquired new knowledge in this field. Although I work in this area and have direct connection with palliative care, in the center any impact is positive. I use the Heppy Portal very often; I will continue to use it after completion of the project as it is very necessary for me.

Amarii Manuela
Professional Health Carer (Romania)

It was extremely helpful to understand the importance of addressing the human side of science that can be cold, sometimes, the classical approach of therapy. It's comfortable to know that a link between patients and medical personnel can be created.

Oaza Ana Maria
Professional Health Carer (Romania)

This course helped me a lot to try to understand patients better, to listen to their life story, not to label them, and to listen to their suffering. Therefore everything I learned in this course I try to put into practice. The Heppy portal worked well, it is very easy to use and I will access it in the future to share my views with different people from other parts of the world

Ioana Macarie
Professional Health Carer (Romania)

This European project has had an impact in my personal and professional development through the workshops and the approach and presentation of the themes and actual information. The topics were presented in an authentic manner, with examples, which led to a deeper and more meaningful knowledge of things.

Rotariu Cristina
Professional Health Carer (Romania)

From my point of view the course has been very helpful. Here I learned a lot, I opened new horizons. The fact that we could work with patients is a wonderful thing. For this you need to be armed with patience, health, kindness and love. It's great when you know that someone needs you, that he or she is waiting for you to come.

Hasmatuchi Anisoara
Professional Health Carer (Romania)

This project has changed the attitude we have to approach every patient, every time I meet a new patient I am careful that the relationship we establish is one of friendship. The Heppy portal was useful to me, and it will still be, in finding the steps in solving medical problems or how the system works in other countries, such as the best for the patient, important concepts that we encounter in our profession. I found out that the patient comes first, we must do everything for his own good and that most times our attitude is important in the treatment plan you carry out.

Renata Fiumi
Psychotherapist (Italy)

For me, taking part in the Heppy project came quite naturally as, being a psychotherapist, I always work with patient narrations. I strongly believe in this kind of approach and always encourage patients to approach all their health issues in this way, being deeply convinced of the interconnectedness of our physical and emotional well-being. I think the idea of making available on line databases with best practices and testimonials is an excellent idea and it's definitely a very interesting read.

I.B.
Professional Health Carer (Italy)

I believe that this training has been challenging and rewarding for me, because it allowed me to confront a reality different from mine, but with professionals who have my own way of understanding the care, health, the patient and family. The continuous comparison between different professionals and human beings allowed building a learning community. I also gave countless suggestions of educational growth (business and personal), thanks to the promoters of the project, with which I was able to work for the writing of my second university project.

Franco Moretti
Psychologist (Italy)

As a psychologist I already use an approach like narrative medicine, but participation in the project has been a stimulus to create a report to use in my work. The strength of the project is mainly using the Internet and the possibility to exchange opinions and experiences at European level. All material has been useful at the same level. I will surely use it in the future.

Federica Pullara
Professional Health Carer (Italy)

Participating in the project has been very useful as I've added something that I did not know the existence of to my cultural background. The portal is very easy to use, I printed the contents of each section and then I made the tests. I will surely raise awareness about it with my colleagues in the future.

A.C.
Professional Health Carer (Italy)

I'm involved in HEPPY project thanks to my colleague of Gradenigo Hospital. All day I met patients and families who describe their stories. The narrative medicine allows collecting some suggestions, which improve the care project. To collect the narrative description is important in order to use some data to underline the participation of patients and families. I use the narrative descriptions to build the care planning.

B.F.
Professional Health Carer (Italy)

The narrative medicine is very important and this European project allowed sharing experiences. I took part in the training in face to face meeting and in particular with the case studies and reviews of publications. The bibliography about narrative medicine is very interesting

C.R.
Professional Health Carer (Italy)

I have been involved by Carla Bena and Barbara Fantino and I like narrative medicine and ICF approach. I work with the adult and older patients and I think the parents' pedagogy is an important tool for the children and parents. The narrative medicine is a very important approach to quality our activities. It allows to involve the patients and the relatives in the care continuity

M.T.
Patient (Italy)

In my opinion the strengths of the Heppy Portal are the training course and the exercises. I also liked the reviews of publications and tool description of narrative medicine.

R.G.
Professional Health Carer (Italy)

I had the opportunity to share the experiences with other European colleagues. In my opinion the strengths of the Heppy project are the seven modules of training course, the narrative descriptions, the reviews of publications, the case studies and the personal experiences.

S.G.
Professional Health Carer (Italy)

For me, the Heppy project analyses the narrative medicine in a user-friendly way. This is very important now, because the relationship between healthcare professional workers and patients is fragile. I discoved the aim of narrative medicine during the training course and I believe it is necessary to use the tools of narrative medicine.

S.R.
Professional Health Carer (Italy)

This is a very important project and I'd like to share my experience with other colleagues. I use the narrative medicine in my work every day.

S.Z.
Patient (Italy)

I have been involved in the Heppy project thanks to Carla Bena of ASLTO4. For me, the narrative medicine is very important because I can explain my situation to doctors and nurses.

Lina Aleksiunaite
Professional Health Carer (Lithuania)

This project was very useful, I am very interested in narrative medicine and thanks to Aldona Droseikiene (LMSU) I had the possibility to take part in it. With narrative competence, I can reach and join my patients in illness, recognize their own personal journeys through medicine, acknowledge kinship with and duties toward other health care professionals, and inaugurate consequential discussion with the public about health care. Strengths: I found the project very interesting and well-organized on the technical side; I liked the possibility to discuss with health carers from the other countries.

Roma Sirvinskiene
Professional Health Carer (Lithuania)

This course was useful to refresh my previous knowledge and I got a lot of new ideas for my future practice. Reporting my personal experiences allows to me to describe and illustrate my patients' current clinical practice in a way that can be easily shared and discussed with professional colleagues. In addition, the narration helps me to examine and reflect on their clinical practice or analyze a particular clinical situation All information given was very relevant to my job, so I will use the portal again in my daily practice.

Giedrius Vitkauskas
Professional Health Carer (Lithuania)

It was very useful to participate in this project, because I found a lot of interesting information about narrative medicine, now I am feeling that I reached a higher level in my profession. I help my patients to reveal their own stories of illness and to imagine their healing, an experience that pushes them forward towards recovery. These stories help me in my job to create hope and a path towards wellness. In each section of the portal I found very professional and useful information, so I think that all sections are equally useful.

Rokas Butkus
Professional Health Carer (Lithuania)

After this course I am very satisfied about the relationships established with patients, health care specialists and nurses. I hope this innovative and very important progress in the health care system will continue. I use the narrative medicine with my patients as a doctor, because I believe it can help bridge cultural and social gaps between physicians and their patients.

Julius Ramakauskas
Professional Health Carer (Lithuania)

This course was perfect. It provided an opportunity to know and to share experience with other people. I have been working as a doctor for many years and I understood that narratives of illness provide a framework for approaching a patient's problems holistically, and may uncover diagnostic and therapeutic options.

Laimutis Vasiliavicius
Professional Health Carer (Lithuania)

This project was very interesting and useful, because we got a lot of interesting information; we had a lot of lectures and discussion. Narrative therapy has been helpful to me in my work as a psychiatrist with my patients and their families. I have got a lot of interesting ideas after attending this project, which I will be able to use in to my daily practice.

Janina Siuksciuviene
Professional Health Carer (Lithuania)

I found this project very useful: the benefits of involving patients in it is having now more motivated and engaged patients, with increased understanding thanks to narrative medicine. With my patients we used publications review, best practice and personal experiences, which were translated into Lithuanian language. I am very satisfied about the possibility to find publications themes that are close to my daily work. I am satisfied with the relationship created with patients, health care specialists and nurses during the training, and I hope that this innovative and very important progress in health care system will go on.

Dalia Kairiene
Professional Health Carer (Lithuania)

All of my expectations about this project are met. There were a lot of important readings, practical exercises, important suggestions from the other professionals, which enabled me to get a general overview of evaluation and research. I found that writing about patients and I gave a new understanding to medical practices. It is a very strong project, delivering a large amount of information and the possibility to share experiences with the participants from the other countries. I think all sections of the portal are very well composed and informative. Moreover, the portal is easily understandable from a technical point of view.

V.L.
Professional Health Carer (Lithuania)

Thanks to the project I am paying increasing attention to narrative competence, defined as the set of skills required to recognize, absorb, interpret, and be moved by stories. The emotional and personal aspects of the care I deliver to particular patients helps me to comprehend my patients' ordeals as well as their own experience with the sickness. In our training groups we are using all sections of the portal. They all are useful. Moreover the section Reviews of publications helped me in examining courses held by colleagues. The relationship between me and my patients, previous to this project, was not as developed as it is now. I will continue developing my skills to be able to listen to the stories of the patients, with the help of these portal recommendations.

Vlada Aukstipiene
Professional Health Carer (Lithuania)

This project met my expectations at a high level because I learned new and useful things. I discovered a new and innovative project theme. Moreover I worked in the training sessions and this has truly shaped my career. It boosted my professional network, which is essential when applying for collaboration. It also greatly enlarged my knowledge in narrative medicine as one of the main health care experience and pedagogical philosophy. I took part in the course and the discussion and I am very happy to having had the chance to share my experience and expectations with my colleagues.

Karola Martkov
Professional Health Carer (Slovakia)

It was very useful for me to participate in this European project because narrative medicine and diagnostics is a new topic for me. I have heard of it a bit but I did not encounter it in person yet. For me as a psychologist working in a social service home narrative medicine is very important. It helps me to better understand the clients and their stories. I can better put myself in their situation and therefore can help them much more in their difficult mental condition. I will use Portal Heppy for my professional purposes. It is a very useful source of information. It helps me with my work.

Silvia Grisov
Professional Health Carer (Slovakia)

It was the first time I participated in an European project. It became new and very useful experience for me mainly because narrative medicine is extremely important for an ordinary nun work. For my professional focus as a person who helps others to overcome old age and other related problems narrative medicine is a key. It is also useful for more effective help and everyday work.

Eva Majdov
Professional Health Carer (Slovakia)

Participating in a European project is a completely new experience for me. I was surprised by it, as narrative medicine is a very new study area to me. In my opinion, all Heppy Portal sections were very interesting and useful. Mostly I enjoyed publications and the great number of narrative diagnoses as well as practical experience.

Kristna Vancov
Professional Health Carer (Slovakia)

Participating in a narrative medicine project was new and useful for me. For my professional activity this project is of large significance from the new information and approach point of view. It can be used at my work. The sections of the Portal Heppy are interesting and useful including publications, great number of narrative diagnoses and practical experience.

Maria Kohoutkov
Professional Health Carer (Slovakia)

I have heard of narrative medicine before but I have not encountered it personally yet. Therefore participating in the project was useful and new to me. I will continually keep learning it and use this approach in the work with my clients. Heppy Portal sections are useful and interesting. I appreciate the amount of narrative diagnoses, publications and even the best real experience stories.

Milada Dobrotkov
Hospital Director (Slovakia)

I am the director of Home of Social Services in Bratislava. This project was very interesting for me. Moreover, it was useful from a point of view of providing better care for our clients. The project has direct and very positive influence on the professional activity and employees approach to the clients in our facility. Caregivers higher sensibility to clients personal and health problems is directly followed by a higher level of care.

tefnia Hrivnkov
Professional Health Carer (Slovakia)

I have worked in the framework of narrations in spiritual care, however using the narrative medicine directly was something new for me. I will use information on narrative medicine and parents pedagogy in the formulation of communication standards, that will be implemented into health care system as a standard level of communication of health carers and patients. I have read the modules carefully and facilitated them in face-to face meetings with health carers. They are interesting inspiration for my work in health care projects. Portal is suitable for me, I can find the modules easily and they are accessible. There is really rich of materials and documents on the portal in various sections. The most important are best practices and narrations themselves, as they are practical and understandable and very inspirational.

Magdalna Mihlikov
Hospital Director (Slovakia)

I will use information on narrative medicine and parent pedagogy in work with my staff. One psychoterapeutist started to work with narrative medicine and she can see the positive results. The positive results in our patients can be observed they are more self-confident and socially more adapted. I have attended the face to face meetings and from them I have information about the modules. I try to inspire my staff to work with the modules and to utilize the rich materials included. For me the most interesting sections are: literature and best practices and also narrative diagnoses.

Elena Kandrov
Professional Health Carer (Slovakia)

The system of narrative medicine and parent pedagogy was unknown to me before this project. We work with elderly people that are not able any more to take care about themselves and they need social or health care. I will use information on narrative medicine and parent pedagogy in the work with my patients, since there is a lot that can be done to develop the quality of their life. For me the sections are interesting all of them

J.L.
Patient (Slovakia)

I noticed that after this project the nurses are more talkative to me and I have possibility to express myself and I have better feeling. Before they have spoken with me, but the conversation was more on my health condition and not so much on me as a person. I am grateful for it. I can have even new interests to play on the mobile the games that are funny and good for attention. My memory is weaker and weaker, so it is important that I hold the memories from my younger age. And it is nice that even now the life can be interesting.

M.K.
Professional Health Carer (Poland)

Thank you for the opportunity to take part in this project. For me the discussion over each module and the exercising activities had a great value. Later on I analyzed everything that was on the portal webpage. These are useful things which for sure I will use at work.

I think that this project was necessary. I'm sure that I will use the things I learned in my professional work. The description of the best practices impressed me the most. Generally I think that everything included on the portal webpage is valuable and useful and I will surely use it in the future.

A.K.

It was nice to see that nurses with many years of experience can still discover the joy of helping the patients. I think that they received a great benefit from this project. I am very happy about the participation in this project. Till this moment I didn't know the narrative medicine, now I discovered that it is very useful in my professional work. The portal was great. I could get to know many interesting things. The activities and forum with the exchange of the views and opinions was also very good.

B.M.

G.P.
Professional Health Carer (Poland)

During the workshops regarding each module I got to know many valuable and new things on the topic of the narrative medicine, which is for me a big discovery. Overall I'm very happy that I could participate in this project.

A.W.

The most valuable thing in this project for me was the possibility to share our experiences with professionals from all over the Europe. To this end, the portal was very useful during the participation in the project. The activities were very good and the descriptions of the best practices were also very valuable for me. Nevertheless, I think that the most important thing was the discussion forum, because of the possibility to exchange the views and opinions.

G.W.
Professional Health Carer (Poland)

For me the most valuable thing was the exchange of the experiences with the nurses, not only from Poland but also from all over the Europe. Thanks to that I learned a lot of new things. The discussions on the modules were very useful as well as the case studies. Thank you for the possibility to participate in this project
